At today’s game Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, the 2026 Peter Osgood Award winner, Sam Sainsbury, will be presented with the honour by Lynn Osgood ahead of kick-off.

Across his weekly sessions made possible by the Premier League and Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ Fund, he demonstrates exceptional professionalism, care and attention to detail, ensuring every participant feels included, welcomed and valued as part of the team. His commitment to creating safe, engaging and supportive environments has had a profound and lasting impact on those he works with.
Sam’s drive has also led to the creation of multiple new sessions specifically designed for hard-to-reach groups, extending the Foundation’s reach and deepening its community impact.
