Christian Pulisic announced himself in English football with a sublime perfect hat-trick on this day in 2019.
The American bagged the first treble of his professional career in a 4-2 victory away to Burnley a few months into his Chelsea career.
Pulisic opened the scoring with a left-footed drive after picking up a loose ball near the centre circle, and he doubled our lead on the stroke of half-time by squeezing in a deflected right-footed effort.
Shortly before the hour, in front of the travelling Chelsea support, Pulisic flicked in his third with a backward header, completing the set in the space of just 35 minutes.
‘It’s incredible, honestly I can’t believe it,’ Pulisic beamed afterwards.
‘The goals were amazing. It’s tough to say which was my favourite. The header was cool but I think I’d have to go with the first one, the left foot (pictured top), I don’t know why.
‘It’s actually my first professional hat-trick so I nearly forgot the match ball - luckily my team-mates helped me out!’
