Cole Palmer has been shortlisted for the Premier League’s EA Sports Player and Hublot Young Player of the Season Awards.

Palmer has enjoyed an outstanding debut year in Blue since his arrival from Manchester City in September, to date scoring 21 league goals with three matches still to play.

The 22-year-old has also provided nine assists giving him 30 Premier League goal involvements in total.

If successful, the England forward would become the first Chelsea player to win the Player of the Season title since N’Golo Kante back in 2016/17.

Other previous winners in Blue include club legends Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard.

Palmer has proven to be one of the signings of the season, becoming our leading goalscorer and a standout performer in Mauricio Pochettino's side.

A huge season has also seen the talented forward make his international breakthrough with a senior England debut arriving in November.

Recently, prior to his recent 22nd birthday, our No.20 became only the third player in Premier League history to reach 30-plus goal involvements in a single season while aged 21 or younger.

Highlights of Palmer's spectacular campaign included his four-goal haul against Everton during our 6-0 win over the Toffees last month, which featured him recording the earliest ever 'perfect' Premier League hat-trick.

The forward also notched a treble in our dramatic 4-3 stoppage time win over Manchester United last month and a last-minute equaliser against his former club Manchester City during a thrilling 4-4 draw back in November.

Also included on the shortlist for the Player of the Season crown is Manchester City duo Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak, Arsenal pair Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk.

Providing Palmer’s competition in the Young Player shortlist are Foden and Haaland, Isak, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and William Saliba and Tottenham's Destiny Udogie.

The winner of each award will be announced on Saturday 18 May, with the Young Player announced at 10am (UK time) and Player of the Year at 11am.
