Pedro Neto was in a reflective mood following our 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-German, dedicating the moment to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva following their tragic passing.

It was an incredible afternoon at the MetLife Stadium as the Blues were crowned champions of the world after Cole Palmer’s brace and Joao Pedro’s chip gave us a memorable 3-0 victory over the Parisians.

After a difficult past week, the Portuguese international's mind was quick to go to Jota and Silva, dedicating the victory in their name.

‘I said I would win it for Diogo and Andre,’ Neto opened. ‘This one is for them and their families, and we are really happy.

‘It’s an unbelievable win. The way we worked was unbelievable, the way we finished the tournament with this win – we are really happy.’

Pedro heralded the chemistry within the squad, pointing to it as a key quality in securing the trophy, while also predicting future successes.

‘It’s the best feeling, to be honest,’ he continued. ‘To be here with my mates and this club. I’m enjoying this moment, and winning this trophy with this club is an unbelievable feeling

.

‘I just want more and more, that's my mentality. I’m here to win titles with this club and these special team-mates, and I hope we can go on from there.’

Speaking on the on-pitch battle against the current Champions League winners, Pedro felt we deserved the win.

He added: ‘I think tactically, we did much better than them. The way we fought was unbelievable today.’
