Pedro Neto believes that the Blues must learn from our defeat to Leeds as we head into the busy festive schedule, after the home side beat us 3-1 at Elland Road.

The Blues were 2-0 down at half-time, and despite the Portuguese international halving the deficit just after the break, firing in at the back post, Leeds were able to extend their advantage and hold on for the win.

Speaking after the contest, Neto admitted that Leeds were ‘better than us’ and feels that the Blues failed to rise to the challenge posed by the home side and knows we’ll need to be better in the weeks ahead.

‘They were better than us at everything tonight - it’s difficult to take,’ Neto explained.

‘We have to learn from that. We have to clear our minds because it happens. Sometimes this happens, and we have a bad day.’

With another away trip to come this weekend – this time on the south coast against Bournemouth – Neto believes it’s up to the players to return our levels to what we showed against Arsenal and Barcelona at the end of November.

‘Today we have to take responsibility, all of us,’ he continued. ‘Sometimes this happens. We are human. We’ve had a really good month; it’s just a bad day. If you ask the players, everyone wants to win every game, but it can happen.

‘We have to learn from this. Now it's time to turn our focus to Bournemouth and setting things right on Saturday.’
