Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has been released from international duty ahead of Portugal's World Cup qualifiers against Ireland and Armenia.

The winger had been called up as part of Portugal manager Roberto Martinez's 26-man squad for the final two games of their qualifying campaign, but Neto has now withdrawn and will now remain with the Blues during the international window.

The 25-year-old had previously started all four of Portugal's matches during the current World Cup qualifying campaign, taking his total number of caps for his country to 21.
