Continuing our summer series in which we ask the players to talk about one of our favourite images of them from the 2018/19 season, we hear from Davide Zappacosta who tells us about the photo below.

It was one of two shots the Italian had having come on as a substitute in our high-octane Europa League semi-final second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt at Stamford Bridge. His introduction helped us to regain the momentum in the contest which eventually paid dividends in the penalty shoot-out. It also brought up Zappacosta's half-century of Chelsea appearances...

‘This was my 50th Chelsea appearance and it was a very great game. I hadn’t played a lot and when you come on in this kind of game, a semi-final, it’s never simple.

'I’m really happy to have helped the team to reach the final and then to have won another trophy with this shirt.

'I was the seventh down to take a penalty. I was a little bit nervous because after the first five if you miss you’re out, but this is football!

‘I was very proud to reach 50 games for Chelsea because it is one of the biggest teams in the world. It’s not easy to play in a team with so many great players and champions.’
