It rewinds to September and the first match of our Europa League campaign, away to PAOK in Greece, when Willian was handed the armband for the first time in a competitive fixture...
‘To be captain was amazing. It was an honour and a great experience, a great feeling.
‘I found out I would be captain when we arrived in the stadium. For me it was very exciting and I was very proud. Then I scored the only goal so it was a day to remember!’
Willian is in the Brazil squad competing in the semi-finals of the Copa America
