Andy Myers’s men had a weekend without PL2 football but most were still in action as they remained eligible for the final two games of last season’s FA Youth Cup at St George’s Park.

Our league start has been positive and after six games we sit second, one point off first-placed Derby County who are on 13 points. However, a tough defeat last time out away at Liverpool was just our second in the league in over a year.

A sticky 10-minute spell gifted the Reds three goals from three set-pieces - a free-kick, penalty and corner were all converted within 21 minutes as the damage was done early. Bryan Fiabema found the net from 12 yards himself after Ben Elliott was fouled in the box but it was too late for Chelsea to mount a comeback.
