Chelsea’s in-form development squad make the trip north-west for this afternoon’s Premier League 2 fixture against Everton.

As a preview to the action, we look at everything you need to know ahead of our trip to take on last season's league winners...

Where and when

The Pure Stadium in Southport will host our youngsters today, kick-off at 2pm.

Form

Andy Myers’ team have made a positive start to the PL2 campaign and victory over Arsenal last Friday night now means the Blues are the only side yet to taste defeat in the league. Sitting top of the table, Chelsea are currently a point clear of second-placed Derby County and a further four clear of today’s counterparts.

Last time out

Chelsea were 2-1 up at the break thanks to Charlie Brown’s opener and Clinton Mola’s wonder strike. The former notched his second of the evening shortly after half-time to earn the Blues a convincing three points against London rivals Arsenal.

Last meeting

Everton sealed a 2-0 win in the last meeting between the two sides. Richard Nartey’s 15th-minute red card gave the Toffees an advantage and a goal either side of the break condemned the Blues to defeat.

Team news

Having been named on the substitues' bench by Frank Lampard for the senior team's victory over Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday, Billy Gilmour could to rejoin his Under-23 team-mates for this afternoon's encounter. Otherwise, Myers is likely to have a similar squad at his disposal to the one used in last Friday's victory.

Game moved

Our UEFA Youth League game at home to Ajax on Tuesday 5 November will now kick off at 3pm and be broadcast live on BT Sport.
