As Premier League 2 action returns for the new year, our development squad take on Leicester City away from home as we look to extend our league unbeaten run.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7pm on Monday 9 January at Leicester's training ground and here we have everything you need to know ahead of kick-off...
2022 recap
We ended the year in fourth position having played one game more than a majority of our nearest competitors.
A nine-game unbeaten run saw us make our way up the table and a big reason for that form was our attacking play, with the young Blues currently joint-highest scorers in the league alongside Manchester City.
Between Omari Hutchinson, Lewis Hall, Mason Burstow and Cesare Casadei there have been 14 goals, highlighting how the goalscoring responsibilities have been shared among the team.
Last PL2 match
Our last game in this competition was back in November as we cruised to a 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur in a London derby.
Despite being dominant for most of the first half, we could not find the net as the Spurs defence stood strong. Nevertheless, the breakthrough was found in the second period through Jude Soonsup-Bell.
Charlie Webster and Malik Mothersille added a second and third respectively to give the scoreline further gloss and complete a convincing win over our London rivals from Mark Robinson's men.
Leicester revisited
In our last away fixture against Leicester City, we drew 1-1 in what was a pulsating clash between the two teams.
We took the lead just after the hour mark as striker Bryan Fiabema, now on loan at Forest Green Rovers, prodded home from inside the penalty box.
The young Foxes replied quickly though as it took just five minutes for them to respond through Wanya Marcal-Madivadua.
