Chelsea Academy has experienced a standout period of success, with trophies, senior debuts and individual honours all highlighting the continued strength and progression of the club’s player development pathway.

Across all age groups - from the youngest academy sides through to the Professional Development Phase - recent weeks have showcased the exceptional work taking place at Chelsea Academy, both on and off the pitch.

The Chelsea Under-15s have enjoyed a truly remarkable campaign. They first secured the Under-15 Premier League Floodlit Cup in emphatic fashion, delivering a dominant performance in an 8-1 victory over Fulham at Motspur Park.

That success earned them a place in the Under-15 Premier League Super Cup, where they hosted Liverpool at Kingsmeadow. The young Blues rose to the occasion once again, producing another outstanding display to secure a 4-1 win and be crowned national champions, bringing a brilliant season to a fitting conclusion.

There has also been success in the Professional Development Phase, where the Chelsea Under-21s were crowned Premier League 2 champions. The Blues finished top of the table after an impressive campaign, registering 14 wins from 20 league matches in a consistently strong and accomplished season.

The Under-18s enjoyed a superb campaign, clinching the Under-18 Premier League South title after an impressive season that saw them finish top of the table with 21 wins from 28 matches. The Blues sealed the championship in emphatic style with a 5-0 victory over Leicester City.

Our Blues will now turn their attention to the Under-18 Premier League National Final, where they are set to face Manchester City, with fixture details to be confirmed in due course.

There have also been significant individual milestones across the Academy. 17-year-old Ryan Kavuma-McQueen made his senior debut, while Jesse Derry marked his first Premier League appearance. Meanwhile, Mathis Eboue was named in a Premier League match day squad.

Further recognition has come in the form of nominations for the Premier League Academy Awards. Shumaira Mheuka and Harrison Murray-Campbell have been shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award.

Chizaram Ezenwata and Mathis Eboue have also been nominated for the Under-18 Premier League Player of the Season award. The winners will be announced at the Premier League Academy Awards on Tuesday 12 May.
