Chelsea’s latest signing Geovany Quenda has discussed his excitement at joining the Blues and can’t wait to show his new club’s supporters what he can do on the pitch.
The 19-year-old has now officially completed his move from Sporting to Chelsea and has been training at Cobham ahead of the official start of pre-season.
As he took in his new surroundings, the winger spoke exclusively to CFC+ about his emotions on becoming a Chelsea player.
‘For me it was a very proud moment,’ said Quenda. ‘Obviously, to wear the Chelsea shirt, such a historic club, for me it’s a very proud moment.
‘It feels good to be joining Chelsea, of course. They are a good team. I’m excited to play at Stamford Bridge.’
Quenda also had a message for the Chelsea supporters as he looks forward to meeting them for the first time when he makes his debut at the Bridge - ‘You can count on me, see you soon'.
