Blues captain Reece James has been named in the England squad for their upcoming fixtures against Wales and Latvia.

James has been capped 21 times by the Three Lions and featured in both World Cup qualifiers during the September international break: a 2-0 victory over Andorra and a comprehensive 5-0 win away in Serbia.

The 25-year-old will be hoping to make further appearances under England head coach Thomas Tuchel, with a friendly against Wales taking place at Wembley on Thursday 9 October and a World Cup qualifier against Latvia set for Tuesday 14 October.

England currently sit top of Group K and are on course to secure a place at next summer's World Cup after taking maximum points from their qualifiers thus far.

We will have news of other Chelsea players receiving international call-ups in the coming days.
