Chelsea midfielder Reggie Walsh will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at League One side Wigan Athletic.
Walsh signed with the Blues as an under-8 and became the third-youngest player to make his senior debut for the club when he featured, aged 16 years and 193 days, in our UEFA Conference League semi-final victory over Djurgarden in 2024/25.
The 17-year-old represented the senior side again in last season’s UEFA Champions League win over Ajax, before making two appearances for Xabi Alonso’s team during this summer’s pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.
Walsh was an important member of the Chelsea Under-21s team which finished top of the Premier League 2 table last season, and helped our Under-18s defeat Manchester City in the Under-18 Premier League national final at Stamford Bridge.
We look forward to supporting and monitoring Reggie's progress during his time in League One.
Good luck, Reggie.
