Nicolas Jackson became the eighth player to net three goals in a Premier League away match for Chelsea in our eventful derby win at Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.
For the first time in his professional career, the Senegalese attacker took home the game ball after he got on the scoresheet with a trifecta of cool finishes to see off the challenge of previously unbeaten Spurs.
So who are the other Blues who have previously bagged hat-tricks on our travels in the Premier League?
Gianluca Vialli v Barnsley, August 1997
Before he took on the added responsibility of managing Chelsea, the late, great Gianluca Vialli enjoyed a banner day on our first top-flight visit to Barnsley in the 1997/98 season.
After lashing in a venomous right-footed strike to put us 3-0 up just before half-time at Oakwell, the Italian ran riot after the interval as he added three more goals against the hapless Tykes to become the first player to score four goals for the Blues in a Premier League game.
Tore Andre Flo v Tottenham, December 1997
Jackson is the second Chelsea player to score an away hat-trick against Spurs in the Premier League after Tore Andre Flo, who got his treble in a derby-day demolition at White Hart Lane in 1997/98.
The Norwegian broke the deadlock with a first-half header, notched our fourth with a coolly taken close-range finish and rounded off a thumping 6-1 win by lobbing over goalkeeper Ian Walker in front of the rapidly emptying home end.
Frank Lampard v Bolton, October 2011
The last of Frank Lampard’s five Chelsea hat-tricks and his only one away from Stamford Bridge came in a 5-1 trouncing of struggling Bolton Wanderers in the 2011/12 season.
On his 350th appearance for the Blues, Super Frank scored twice as we raced into a four-goal lead inside the opening 27 minutes before drilling home a low effort after the interval to pile the misery on the home fans in Lancashire.
Andre Schurrle v Fulham, March 2014
Andre Schurrle enjoyed the best afternoon of his short spell with the Blues as he scored a whirlwind hat-trick at nearby Craven Cottage to sink Fulham 3-1 in the west London derby..
The German used his excellent pace to good effect as he plundered all three goals in a 16-minute spell after the interval with Eden Hazard setting up the first two before Fernando Torres assisted on his third.
Alvaro Morata v Stoke, September 2017
Alvaro Morata’s only Chelsea hat-trick arrived at Stoke shortly after he joined the Blues from Real Madrid at the start of the 2017/18 campaign.
Set up by Spanish compatriot Cesar Azpilicueta for the opening goal after 82 seconds, Morata then netted twice more in a five-minute spell late in the second half to complete a 4-0 rout of the Potters.
Tammy Abraham v Wolves, September 2019
In just his fifth senior start for Chelsea, Academy product Tammy Abraham plundered his first Premier League hat-trick on a memorable day at Molineux as the Blues romped to a 5-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Just a month shy of his 22nd birthday, the lanky striker showcased his full range of abilities as a front-man as he thrashed in a loose ball for his first, headed in an inviting cross for his second before holding off the close attention of Wolves captain Conor Coady to fire home his third.
Christian Pulisic v Burnley, October 2019
Just a month after Abraham’s heroics at Wolves, Christian Pulisic opened his Premier League in style by netting a perfect hat-trick at Turf Moor.
The American opened the scoring with a left-footed drive after picking up a loose ball near the centre circle, squeezed home a deflected right-footed effort just before half-time and then flicked in his third with a backward header as Chelsea eased to a 4-2 victory over the Clarets.
