Liam Rosenior is excited at the prospect of meeting Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16 after today’s draw pitted us with the holders.
Our head coach has experience of coming up against PSG during his time with Strasbourg, including earlier this season when the teams drew 3-3 at the Parc de Princes.
And he will now be leading Chelsea against Luis Enrique’s European champions next month in a repeat of last summer’s Club World Cup final, when we were 3-0 victors.
‘I’m so excited,’ said Rosenior.
‘PSG are a fantastic team. I have experience of playing against them in France, and they are a team I’ve always admired. I think Luis has done an incredible job there.
‘These are the games you live for and come into football for. It’s going to be a great tie between two fantastic teams. I’m really, really looking forward to it but we’ve got three games before that I need to focus on.’
