Liam Rosenior has revealed Tosin Adarabioyo and Filip Jorgensen’s chances of being involved in Friday night’s FA Cup tie and explained why this will be a big week for the whole Chelsea squad.

The Blues have been preparing to continue our FA Cup campaign with a trip to Hull City in the fourth round, with kick-off at the MKM Stadium at 7.45pm tomorrow evening.

Defender Tosin got on the score sheet when we beat another Championship opponent Charlton Athletic 5-1 in the last round, but has been missing in recent weeks due to a hamstring injury. Ahead of our visit to Hull, Rosenior confirmed he is getting closer to a return to action for the Blues.

‘Tosin trained fully for the first time on Wednesday, so this game might come a little bit too soon, but we'll make that judgment with the medical team,’ said our head coach.

Jorgensen is another player who has been missing from the team sheet, with 22-year-old goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe – who returned from his loan at Bolton Wanderers in January – supporting Robert Sanchez from the bench during the Danish international’s absence.

‘Filip's not fully fit at the moment,’ added Rosenior. ‘He's working really hard on his rehab.

'Teddy has had a very important loan at this stage of his career and he's shown me really good things in training as well. So I've got no worries if we have to call upon him.’

The more players at his disposal the better for Rosenior at the moment, as Chelsea’s pursuit of success on three fronts, in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and FA Cup, continues at Hull.

‘At this club you need to win every game and you need to be in every competition. There doesn't need to be a conversation about that, that's clear,’ he insisted.

‘So we don't have ideas about what competition is more important than the other. We just want to win every game that we play.

‘That's why you have a squad. You need a good squad to compete in the competitions that we're in and I'm sure I'll pick a team – and a bench as well, which is important – that is strong enough to win the game.’

After this FA Cup tie, Rosenior will have a free midweek to work with his players for the first time since taking charge, allowing a chance to refresh and reflect before returning to Premier League action.

‘It’s massive. It's key for the players’ rest, recovery, recuperation, for tactical things to happen on the training pitch in the build-up to the Burnley game.

‘It's a really big thing for us and it's the first time for not just the players but myself, the staff, to sit back and take stock a little bit of where we are.’
