Liam Rosenior knows there is no margin for error when we take on Paris Saint-Germain in the deciding leg of our Champions League Round of 16 tie, but he is confident the Blues will do 'absolutely everything' to try to reach the quarter-finals.

We go into the second leg at Stamford Bridge tonight needing to overturn a three-goal deficit against the reigning European champions and Rosenior, speaking at his pre-match press conference, explained why the tie is not over.

‘We have an opportunity to do something really special,’ said Rosenior. ‘We know we have to be perfect and that is my focus.

'My team are ready to give absolutely everything to this game in terms of the intensity and quality we need.

‘Hopefully, we can turn around what is a difficult scoreline but not an impossible one. We have to remember PSG are European champions for a reason, but we have shown we can compete and beat them in isolated games.’

While Rosenior has had time to reflect on last week’s first leg, his analysis of our shortcomings in Paris remains the same as it was immediately after the game. So what must change at the Bridge is clear to our head coach.

‘If you look at the game in isolation, and the scoreline, we were punished by some very good players for our mistakes,’ he said.

‘That’s been a theme. I think we’ve performed consistently very well but we’ve been undone in games by moments of [a lack of] focus and concentration.

‘In terms of us going through the tie, we have to be perfect in terms of not making mistakes, and in terms of performance in possession and out of possession.’
