Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the next player to offer us his recommendations for what to watch right now and, given the England midfielder prefers movies to series, he has three intriguing film selections...

1. Lone Survivor

‘That’s a good film!’ Set during the Afghanistan war, a four-man team of elite US Navy SEALS are tasked with tracking down the Taliban leader Ahmad Shah. But as they’re trekking through the mountains they are discovered by a goat herder. They face two options; kill the herder and maintain the secrecy of their mission, or release him and risk exposure.

They choose the latter, and the goat herder scurries off and grasses them up to the Taliban, who subsequently hunt them down in their numbers. Mark Wahlberg plays Marcus Luttrell who leads the battle against survival as the enemy close in. Enjoy two hours of non-stop action which is based on a true story.

2. Wrong Missy

‘I watched one recently called the Wrong Missy which was quite silly but funny.’

A texting mishap ends in disaster when a man invites his dream girl to an island resort only for a previous blind date to show up instead.

As Ruben says, it’s a bit silly, but there’s enough physical comedy to bring a few laughs!

3. Spenser Confidential

‘It’s like an action film!’

Mark Wahlberg and his biceps are back for Ruben’s third recommendation, but this time it’s an action comedy and definitely not based on a true story.

Two Boston police officers are murdered, and ex-cop and ex-convict Spenser (Wahlberg) is tasked with bringing the culprits to justice.
