Sam Kerr marked her final appearance for Chelsea in the fashion supporters have become accustomed to over the past six-and-a-half years: scoring a match-winning goal to help the Blues end our season with a victory.

The striker will leave Chelsea this summer after 157 appearances and having netted a club-record equalling 116 goals. She sits alongside Fran Kirby as our women's team's all-time highest scorer.

Kerr exited the pitch in the final moments of our 1-0 win over Manchester United to a standing ovation from the Chelsea faithful, and was given a guard of honour from her team-mates, club staff and her family after the final whistle.

Kerr delivered a speech on the Stamford Bridge pitch after the game, in which she expressed her hope that, after six-and-a-half years with Chelsea, supporters would track her progress wherever she ends up next.

'Thank you to everyone who I’ve played with since I've been representing you guys,' the Australian said to fans in the stands.

'Week in, week out, every single minute for you guys. I've had some great personal memories both on and off the pitch, so thank you to all of you.

'Hopefully, you support me wherever I go. Anyway, thank you for making this weekend so amazing.'
