Jadon Sancho believes the Blues are getting back to our best when it matters most as the race to qualify for next season’s Champions League intensifies.

Chelsea head into the final quartet of Premier League fixtures well placed to secure a top five position, but with plenty of work to do. We face Liverpool and Manchester United at home, and travel to two other Champions League contenders, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.

Sancho, who scored a late equaliser against Ipswich last month and netted his first UEFA Conference League goal of the season in midweek, is confident we can reach our target.

‘We’re finding form again,’ the winger said.

‘We are going into each game 100 per cent, and we know what we have to achieve at the end of the season.

‘The Premier League is so competitive. One week you can be third, the next week you can be sixth. Each game is crucial.

‘There are games we could have won when we missed chances, but we are getting back into that rhythm again. It’s going to be a difficult next four games, but we’re going to take it game by game, and hopefully we can get results.’

The Blues welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge tomorrow. The Reds secured the title with a big win over Tottenham last weekend, and the history of the fixture means there will be no love lost despite the differing relevance of this contest to each team. Sancho hopes home advantage will prove crucial.

‘Liverpool have just won the league and we know what type of players they have, but it’s always a bonus when you play at home, having the fans behind you,’ he stressed.

‘Hopefully the fans bring their energy to the game and we get motivated by that and get the three points.’
