Aggie Beever-Jones vs Manchester City
The Blues got off the mark for the season when our striker put us 1-0 up against Manchester City at the Bridge on 5 September. New signing Ellie Carpenter supplied a superb cross from the right-hand side, and Beever-Jones delivered a deft touch that lifted the ball over goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita.
Maika Hamano vs Manchester City
Our second of the evening at the Bridge came from a low ball across the box from Wieke Kaptein, perfectly dummied by Catarina Macario, leaving Hamano to lift her finish high into the net, having slipped away from her marker in the box.
Sam Kerr vs Aston Villa
After 634 days out injured, Sam Kerr made her return to action as a late substitute at Villa Park, and it was not long before she found the back of the net upon her long-awaited return. This was her 100th goal in Chelsea colours, and it came following a goalmouth scramble in stoppage time to secure a 3-1 victory for the Blues. Kerr showed that her striker's instincts had never left her, swiping home the strike at the second time of asking.
Aggie Beever-Jones vs Leicester City
Our number 33 popped up with her third in three games with this early strike against Leicester City at Kingsmeadow in week three of our WSL campaign. Some superb work on the edge of the box by debutant Veerle Buurman saw the Dutch international pick out Erin Cuthbert, who turned inside the box and fed Beever-Jones. The striker took a touch and confidently converted the only goal of the match.
Aggie Beever-Jones vs West Ham United
Our striker picked up where she left off against Leicester, becoming the first Chelsea player ever to score four goals in our opening four WSL matches. This time, Beever-Jones put the Blues ahead from almost 30 yards out with a sublime curling free-kick.
Johanna Rytting Kaneryd vs West Ham United
No sooner had the free-kick hit the back of the net than Chelsea were on the attack once more. This time, Kaptein beat two defenders with her cross from the left-hand side, and Rytting Kaneryd bagged her first of the campaign, slipping in between her two markers to finish from close range.
Erin Cuthbert vs West Ham United
Our third goal against West Ham came after just 15 minutes. Cuthbert picked up the ball in a central area and drove forward from deep. When the challenge didn't come, the Scotland international saw her chance to shoot, converting with a superb long-range effort that put Chelsea firmly in control.
Wieke Kaptein vs West Ham United
Kaptein added to her earlier assist against the Hammers with a goal she both started and finished. Standing on the edge of the penalty area, she slipped in Macario, who advanced and turned her defender inside out at the byline, before completing the one-two, as Kaptein then poked the ball over the Kinga Szemik to complete the rout.
