Chelsea have regularly faced Hull City in league and cup over the past three decades, with several excellent goals scored by the Blues along the way. Here, we pick out seven of our favourites.

It's on Friday evening that Liam Rosenior, who spent time as a player and coach with the Tigers, takes his Chelsea side to the MKM Stadium looking to seal a place in the FA Cup fifth round.

We have an excellent record against Hull – just four defeats in our history – and in recent years have struck several memorable goals both at Stamford Bridge and on Humberside.

You can view our favourites below, fittingly beginning with an FA Cup strike, before voting for your favourite on the app here....

Gustavo Poyet | Hull 1-6 Chelsea | FA Cup | December 1999

Our FA Cup campaign during the 1999/2000 season began at Boothferry Park and ended with the Blues lifting the trophy at Wembley.

This win remains our most dominant in the competition against the Tigers, and began with an exquisite finish from Poyet.

After winning a midfield duel, the Uruguayan attempted to find the advancing Chris Sutton. His pass was intercepted, but the ball rolled back to the midfielder, who produced a whipped finish from 20 yards that nestled in the corner.

It was Poyet's first FA Cup goal; he would have three by the full-time whistle. Further strikes from Sutton, Roberto Di Matteo and an own goal from Mike Edwards sealed a convincing win for the Blues.

Steve Sidwell | Hull 0-4 Chelsea | League Cup | September 2007

Another goal scored in the early rounds of a cup visit to Hull, this strike proved to be Sidwell's only in blue during his sole season with us.

We had already established a two-goal advantage in this third-round tie – Scott Sinclair and Salomon Kalou on target – before Sidwell rifled home a third early into the second period.

After the Blues sustained an attack inside the Hull penalty area, Claudio Pizarro rolled a pass to Sidwell just outside the 18-yard box, and he struck a shot that whistled past a covering defender and beyond goalkeeper Boaz Myhill.

Frank Lampard | Hull 0-3 Chelsea | Premier League | October 2008

Our first Premier League trip to Hull came the following season – and the travelling Chelsea fans witnessed a sumpteous goal from our all-time top scorer.

Just three minutes were on the clock when Lampard attempted a one-two with Florent Malouda, only for the ball to rebound invitingly back toward our legendry midfielder.

Without a moment's hesitation, Lampard defly clipped a shot with his left foot toward the far corner, and it floated over Myhill and into the top corner.

It was a sublime effort and set us on the way to a convincing win, with further goals netted by Nicolas Anelka and Malouda.

Didier Drogba | Chelsea 2-1 Hull | Premier League | August 2009

The Tigers were the visitors to Stamford Bridge on the opening day of the campaign. Carlo Ancelotti was in the Blues dugout for the first time and witnessed firsthand the match-winning quality possessed by our Ivorian star.

Chelsea had fallen behind to a Stephen Hunt goal but, eight minutes before the interval, we were awarded a free-kick 30 yards from goal.

Drogba stepped up and produced a stunning free-kick that flew over the wall and into the net.

Drogba wasn't finished, however. The game remained locked at 1-1 heading into stoppage time, but our talismanic striker produced a chip – or miss-hit cross depending on your perspective! – that ensured we began our double-winning campaign with a victory.

Frank Lampard | Chelsea 2-0 Hull | Premier League | August 2013

Another Premier League opener against the Tigers, another brilliant free-kick from distance by a Chelsea legend.

We had already established a lead in this clash at Stamford Bridge, Oscar finishing after a neat pass from Kevin De Bruyne, when we were awarded a free-kick 35 yards from goal.

Very few players would be willing to take on a shot from that distance, but Lampard produced a powerful effort which dipped and swerved beyond goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

It was a fitting way for Lampard to begin his final campaign, as a player, at Stamford Bridge.

Eden Hazard | Hull 2-3 Chelsea | Premier League | March 2015

The brilliant Belgian got us off to the ideal start during this top-flight clash in East Yorkshire. It was just two minutes into the game that Nemanja Matic fed a pass to Diego Costa, who cleverly laid the ball off to Hazard.

Given far too much room to advance, Hazard moved away from two chasing Hull players before moving the ball onto his left foot. He then thundered a 20-yard shot toward goal, and the ball flew beyond McGregor and inside the post.

Diego Costa doubled our advantage soon after and, following a Hull fightback, we ended up sealing all three points thanks to a Loic Remy goal.

Willian | Chelsea 4-0 Hull | FA Cup | February 2018

There were two goals struck by our Brazilian winner in this victory – and both are worthy of inclusion on this list. However, it is Willian's second we have decided to focus on.

Having earlier in the game scored from outside of the box with a left-footed strike, Willian's second was all about excellent execution.

Racing onto a prod forward from Olivier Giroud, Willian shifted the ball onto his right foot and spun a low shot toward goal. His attempt was set well outside the post, but it curled towards the post and kissed the woodwork on its way into the net.

That goal gave us a 3-0 lead and we added a fourth and final goal before the break, as Giroud opened his Chelsea account.
