Chelsea striker Shumaira Mheuka has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for August.
The 17-year-old has worn the captain’s armband for Chelsea Under-21s since the start of the 2025/26 campaign and has led from the front with an impressive run of form going into the September international break.
The Blues sit with three wins from three in the Premier League 2 and Mheuka has featured in all of those matches, scoring four goals in total.
He netted his first hat-trick of the season in our home victory over Manchester City, the defending champions, before adding another goal in our emphatic 5-0 away win at Newcastle United.
Mheuka’s strong start has earned him a nomination for August’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award, alongside seven other players: Leeds United’s Harry Gray, Brighton & Hove Albion duo Shame Nti and Charlie Tasker, Tottenham’s Reiss Russell-Denny, Arsenal’s Charles Sagoe and Leicester City pair Mirsad Ali and Kevon Gray.
The winner will be announced in due course.
