Hannah Hampton, Lucy Bronze, Niamh Charles, Keira Walsh, Lauren James and Aggie Beever-Jones have all been selected in the England squad for the upcoming Women's European Championship in Switzerland
England will play a friendly against Jamaica at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 29 June before travelling to Switzerland ahead of their opening Group Stage fixture against France at the Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich on Saturday 5 July at 8pm.
The Lionesses have been placed in Group D alongside France, Netherlands and tournament debutants Wales for the competition that begins on 2 July and runs through to 27 July.
After facing France in Zurich on Saturday 5 July, we will meet the Netherlands in the same city four days later [Wednesday 9 July] and the Lionesses' group stage concludes with Wales on Sunday 13 July in St. Gallen.
Millie Bright will miss this summer's Euros after withdrawing from selection earlier this week, a decision which she explained in a statement here.
England are the holders of the competition, having beaten Germany in the final at Wembley in 2022. Bronze and Walsh were in Wiegman's starting line-up that day, with goalkeeper Hampton part of the wider squad.
Bronze is set for her seventh major tournament and her fourth consecutive Euros. In contrast, seven players – Michelle Agyemang, Beever-Jones, Grace Clinton, Khiara Keating, Maya Le Tissier, Anna Moorhouse and Jess Park - will be appearing at their first major tournament.
Wiegman said: 'I know this is an exciting day, for the players and also for our fans and it underlines that the tournament is coming soon. Telling the players they have made the squad is always a great moment. They will all give everything to help us make the country proud.
'This group is a very well-balanced mix of players with multiple tournaments on their CVs and also those that will make their tournament debuts. I am excited to see what we are capable of this summer.
'At the same time, I do feel for those that have just missed out. I can only name 23 but there are more players who have been so important to us on our journey to Switzerland. We would not be here without them.
'As we look forward, we still have a month to go until we play the first game. After some important rest, we will all be working really hard to make sure we are ready to go on 5 July.'
