A new year is upon us full of promise and excitement. Here are the key dates to circle in your calendar early as we head into what will hopefully be another successful 12 months at Chelsea...
Monday 2 February
Now we have entered January, the winter transfer window is now open with clubs in the Premier League and around Europe looking for opportunities to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season. That chance ends at 7pm UK time on 2 February, when the transfer window closes for the remainder of 2025/26.
Sunday 22 March
The first of this season's trophies will be given out at Wembley Stadium on 22 March, to the winners of the 2026 Carabao Cup final. Chelsea are one tie away from having the chance to compete for that silverware in the national stadium. We face Arsenal over two legs in the semi-finals, meeting at Stamford Bridge on 14 January before the second game at the Emirates Stadium on 3 February. The winner will then take on Manchester City or Newcastle United in the final.
Sunday 24 May
The current Premier League campaign comes to a conclusion at the end of May, when the final fixtures for all 20 teams kick off at 4pm on Sunday. Hopefully that will bring to an end another successful season for the Blues, when we end 2025/26 with an away trip north to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland.
Thursday 11 June
The club action may be on pause over the summer, but there will still be plenty of football to enjoy in 2026. Several of the Chelsea players will be heading to Canada, Mexico and the USA to represent their countries and compete for glory at this year's FIFA World Cup. The tournament begins in Mexico City on 11 June and concludes with the final in New Jersey on Sunday 19 July.
Monday 15 June
Once the season is over, it is quickly time to start planning for the next one. The build-up to 2026/27 begins in earnest in mid-June, when the summer transfer window opens and clubs in England can start to put things into place for the new campaign and add to their squads. The 2026 summer transfer window runs from 15 June until 31 August.
Saturday 22 August
The long summer wait for Chelsea's return to the pitch for competitive action will come to an end in August, when the new Premier League campaign kicks off in its traditional Saturday afternoon fixture slot. The 2026/27 Premier League season will begin on 22 August and run until the final round of matches on Sunday 30 May 2027.
