As we prepare for our 120th game against Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow night, let's dive into some of our most memorable moments against the side from the Black Country.

It's time to count down some of those iconic memories against Wolves. Remember, once you've watched the video and had a browse of the moments, you can vote for your favourite in the poll below!

Hasselbaink's hat-trick

Chelsea 5-2 Wolves
27 March 2004

Our first moment comes from the mid-2000s, and it's a moment of pure brilliance from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Coming on his birthday no less, Jimmy produced an incredible 13-minute hat-trick to turn the game on its head.

Arriving on the pitch with a point to prove with less than half an hour on the clock, the Dutchman saw Frank Lampard equalise for the Blues, and with the contest level at 2-2 heading into the final stages, Jimmy took his opportunity.

Converting his first in the 77th minute to take us into the lead, he followed it up with a second in the 88th minute and then scored the all-important third on the stroke of stoppage time.

Malouda's rocket

Chelsea 4-0 Wolves
21 November 2009

There were plenty of impressive goals during our 2009/10 Premier League-winning campaign, and one of the best came from French international Florent Malouda.

Striding towards the box in the early stages of the Premier League contest, the winger unleashed a powerful effort from outside the box, which nestled in the back of the net.

His thumping, long-range effort received plenty of plaudits as the Blues went on to put three more past the visitors.

Lampard's last-gasp winner

Wolves 1-2 Chelsea
2 January 2012

Our next entry comes from Super Frank, who saved the day at Molineux back in 2012 after a late equaliser from the home side made it look like the spoils were going to be shared.

And just when the Blues needed a hero, up stepped Lampard, as he tapped home Ashley Cole's cross with one minute of normal time left to play, to stun the home supporters.

Hazard's late leveller

Chelsea 1-1 Wolves
10 March 2019

The fourth entry on this list comes from Eden Hazard, who produced a trademark moment of magic similar to Frank's back in 2012, helping to salvage a point for the Blues - this time at the Bridge.

With Wolves having taken the lead through Raul Jimenez, we were on the back foot, searching desperately to find an equaliser.

And as the brilliant Belgium received the ball on the edge of the box, he conjured up exactly what we needed. Rolling the ball away from his body, Hazard whipped a wicked strike into the far corner to secure a point in stoppage time.

Tomori's Goal of the Season

Wolves 2-5 Chelsea
14 September 2019

Arguably one of the best goals on this list, Fikayo Tomori's long-range strike against Wolves opened the floodgates at Molineux as we put five past our opponents for the first time since 2003.

As the ball rolled back to the central defender, his first-time strike from distance arrowed over Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio and sweetly nestled in the back of the net - opening his account as a first-team player. The rest of our goals that day - a hat-trick from Tammy Abraham and a Mason Mount strike - ensured they were all scored by Cobham graduates.

Tomori's effort would earn our Goal of the Season award at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, as he became the first-ever winner from centre-back, and the first defender to scoop the prize in a decade, since Ashley Cole in 2010.

Cole's masterclass

Wolves 2-6 Chelsea
25 August 2024

This scintillating away win over Wolves at the start of last season lives long in the memory, and Cole Palmer masterminded it.

As well as etching his name onto the scoresheet with a supremely composed lob, which would go on to win the Premier League's Goal of the Month for August 2024, Cole assisted every strike of Noni Madueke's special hat-trick as we put six past the home side. Nicolas Jackson and Joao Felix were the other Blues on target that day.

The last time we scored six against Wolves came in our only meeting in the League Cup back in 2012 - the day Cesar Azpilicueta made his Chelsea debut - and we're sure the Blues would love to repeat that feat as we clash once again in the competition tomorrow night.
