Sjoeke Nusken played 90 minutes as Germany were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Australia in a friendly match.

The 23-year-old started for her country, as she had done in Friday night's 4-3 win over England at Wembley, against the Matildas at the MSV-Arena in Duisburg.

It was the hosts who took an early lead through Selina Cerci after only five minutes, but the score was level going into half-time following Kyra Cooney-Cross' equaliser on 39 minutes. With 13 minutes left to go, the Aussies netted the winner as Clare Hunt headed home from a corner.

On Monday afternoon, England U-19s made it two wins from two during this international window as they defeated Norway 2-0 in the Algarve Cup, with Lexi Potter - who is currently on loan at Crystal Palace - featuring for just over an hour having been named in the starting XI.

Academy players Scarlett Kagalwala and Tia Young both came off the bench and earned minutes against Norway having been unused substitutes in last week's victory against the Netherlands.
