Sonia Bompastor says Sjoeke Nusken and Lexi Potter are available for selection for Sunday's match against West Ham United after overcoming their respective injuries.
While Lucy Bronze, Naomi Girma and Lauren James are still recovering from issues sustained before the campaign got underway, there was good news delivered by the Chelsea head coach on two of her midfielders.
'We have no new injuries,' confirmed Bompastor. 'We have Sjoeke Nusken and Lexi Potter back in the group, and they will be available for the game this weekend.'
Niamh Charles sustained an ankle injury during our win over Aston Villa earlier this month and is still recovering from that issue. The return of James, meanwhile, is still pencilled in for mid-October.
Bompastor then went on to explain the qualities of Sunday's opponents. Rehanne Skinner's side have lost all of their opening three Women's Super League matches, but the Blues head coach won't be taking anything for granted.
She said: 'I think in terms of results, they are probably not in the place they want to be, but when you look at their squad, the quality they have, and what they want to achieve with Rehanne, I won't only reflect on their results.
'They have a lot of quality, and they were able to play yesterday and to win, scoring a lot of goals. I don't want to name players, but when you look at the starting XI in the past games, they have quality enough to cause us trouble.
'So we will be going, as usual, into that game, with finding the right balance of being confident with the strengths we have and the quality we have in our squad. We're also paying attention to the strength they have.
'If you reflect also on last season, they were able to take some points from us when they came and played at Kingsmeadow. So we'll find the right balance, going into that game and making sure we give the performance we need to win.'
