Sonia Bompastor has confirmed there are no new injuries after our Women's League Cup semi-final win ahead of a blockbuster clash with Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime.

The Blues take on our London rivals at Stamford Bridge following a strong defensive display in Manchester on Wednesday, as we came away with a 1-0 win to progress through to the final of the Women's League Cup for the seventh year running.

There was no time to dwell on that result for Bompastor and her side, as Chelsea now face a huge test in front of our fans at the Bridge as we bid to keep the pressure on Manchester City at the top of the Women's Super League table.

The head coach will need a full-strength side to face the Gunners, and the good news is there were no casualties from Wednesday's tough battle at the Joie Stadium.

'The team is doing great,' said Bompastor. 'It's always easier to recover after a win, and every player who was involved in the Man City game is available for tomorrow.'

With a short turnaround time between Wednesday night's clash and another crucial game against Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime, the Chelsea boss was keen to stress the importance of having a deep squad to cope with the demands of fighting across several fronts.

After this weekend's game against the Gunners, the Blues will head back up north to Manchester to face Man City once more as we look to cut their six-point gap at the top of the WSL table with a win at the Etihad Stadium.

'This week is a good example of when you want to compete in all four competitions,' Bompastor continued. 'It means you have to play three games in a week, games where the physicality is really high. The intensity is high, and you want to have fresh legs going into the next game.

'The depth is crucial. We travelled to Man City on Wednesday evening, and then we are playing just over two days after a big game again at noon. I think it's really important when you can rotate players to make sure you keep a good balance between the performance and also the physicality.

'It's as important to bring in fresh legs as performing tactical and mental aspects. When other teams don't have that depth, I think you have to almost decide what competition you want to go for, and that's not something I want to be thinking about!'

It's game on at the Bridge! Chelsea Women take on Arsenal in a blockbuster London derby on Saturday 24 January, and there is still time for you to join those who have already secured their seat!
