Sonia Bompastor has confirmed she has no new injuries ahead of this weekend's clash with Manchester City, and stated Aggie Beever-Jones and Keira Walsh are now in contention to start the match.
The Blues travel to Manchester looking to bounce back from defeat to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge last weekend, with a chance to cut the gap to WSL leaders Man City at the top of the Women's Super League table, which currently stands at nine points.
Chelsea have won six out of our last seven matches against the Cityzens since the start of Bompastor's tenure in summer 2024, including a 1-0 victory in the Women's League Cup semi-final last week.
And there is positive news on the injury front heading into the crunch encounter.
Bompastor said: 'We have the same squad as we had available for last weekend against Arsenal,' said Bompastor. 'Some players have been training with us this week and getting more fitness to be ready to perform again on Sunday, Aggie and Keira being among them.'
Walsh was introduced as a second-half substitute against the Gunners, while striker Beever-Jones was named on the bench but did not make an appearance. Yet with an extra week of training sessions in the bag, Bompastor described the progress the duo have made.
'They are in a good place,' she continued. 'They are in contention for the game. We still have a few training sessions before the game on Sunday, but they are getting more fitness and they could be ready to start on Sunday if they need to.
'In terms of the other players, no one else is returning.'
