Sonia Bompastor was pleased to report that she has the entire Chelsea squad to choose from for our Women's Super League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Our internationals have returned to Cobham over the past couple of days after representing their countries across the world during the break – and they have been straight back to work as we prepare for a London derby this weekend.
Bompastor's side welcome Spurs to Stamford Bridge on Sunday and will be aiming to continue our strong start to the WSL season: we have won four and drawn one of our opening five matches.
We have been boosted in that ambition by the confirmation from the Blues head coach that there are no fitness concerns among her squad.
'The team is looking good,' she said. 'We had everyone back with a good level of fitness, and all the squad is available, so I'll have some headaches for the game on Sunday.
'It's a great place to be, especially when you come into another busy block. I think when you're the head coach for Chelsea, this is where you want to be.
'You want to have headaches selecting your squad, your starting 11, and the players who are coming in to finish the game. So it's great and positive.
'We had a training session this morning and we have one more tomorrow, and the level of the training session was really good, so I'm glad and pleased to see that.
Bompastor was asked specifically about the fitness of Lauren James, after the Blues forward scored twice for England in their 5-0 win over Greece at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday evening.
'She's fit,' the head coach replied. 'I think you could see that with England; I'm glad she had two good games with England. She's in a good headspace and is performing at a good level.
'She had a really good training session this morning, so that's good news for us.'
