While our Champions League dream came to an end in midweek, Sonia Bompastor says her Chelsea side still has so much to play for this season, starting with tomorrow's FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham.

The Blues were edged out of Europe by Arsenal on a dramatic evening at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, but the short turnaround to Easter Monday’s Cup tie means there is no time to lick our wounds.

Instead, Bompastor has underlined the targets that remain, including the opportunity to lift more silverware.

‘We still have two competitions left,’ said the head coach. ‘We have three games left in the league and we need to make sure we qualify for the Champions League, and we are also still in competition for the FA Cup.

‘The ambitions from the club from the beginning of the season were to win as much as we can, to win titles, so the FA Cup is one of the main objectives now.’

Standing between us and a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup are a Tottenham side that have made significant strides forward this season.

They sit in fifth place in the WSL and, inspired by head coach Martin Ho, have a clear playing identity that has yielded some impressive victories this term.

‘Martin is a good manager,’ said Bompastor. ‘He's also a good human. He's having a great season with Tottenham. I knew him even when he was at Brann in Norway, and I was also impressed with the way he was making Brann play. He's making the most of his players.

‘Tottenham are a tough team to face, so we'll need to be ready to bounce back and put in a good performance to win and to qualify.’
