A squad of 21 Chelsea Women players have travelled to France today ahead of our UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final first leg encounter against Lyon on Wednesday evening.

The Blues touched down in Lyon on Tuesday afternoon where we will be aiming to secure a positive result ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge next Thursday 30 March.

We progressed to the quarter-final stage of the competition as winners of Group A, which consisted of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Albanian champions Vllaznia.

It was an impressive group stage campaign which saw us record five victories and one draw, taking 16 points from 18 available ahead of the quarter-final draw which brings us to France for a second time this season.

Fran Kirby and Katerina Svitkova will remain at home as they continue to recover from their respective injuries, while Pernille Harder makes the trip but will not feature.

  • The second leg against Lyon is at Stamford Bridge next Thursday 30 March and tickets for the game are on sale now, with prices starting at just £9 for adults and £1 for juniors and seniors.
