Tammy Abraham has revealed which song he listens to on a matchday to help him focus ahead of stepping over the white line and leading the line for Chelsea.

Our top scorer, who has had a fine season for the Blues so far, sat down with the Chelsea app recently to discuss how he uses music to get himself ‘in the zone’, when taking part in the latest episode of ‘Like a Pro’, which you can watch on The 5th Stand now.

Tammy, who is currently recovering from injury and hoping to return to action soon, has revealed that his go-to song on a matchday is ‘Ball Drop’ by French Montana and why music is so important to his game.

‘I use music to lift me up, to motivate me as well,’ explains Tammy. ‘There’s a song by French Montana called Ball Drop and I use that track a lot to help me focus for a game.

‘Music is very important to me and I’m sure for many other players as well. For me personally, I like to understand what the person is saying and the lyrics are very important to me because they motivate me.

‘I like to listen to what’s being said and there are some songs that say things like “never give up on your dreams, don’t stop believing” and they really pushed me on when I was younger to keep believing in myself. That’s the way I am now, it’s helped shape me into the person I am today.

‘The music I listen to, especially on a matchday, is designed to lift me up and get myself pumped up for the game ahead.

‘Usually when we arrive on a matchday, the music is already playing in the dressing room. I’m not sure who puts it on but it’s not bad! We all enjoy listening to the songs and it helps us all get prepared in the right way. Music is important and we all use it in our own ways.’
