Today at 3pm UK time over on The 5th Stand app, we will be showing the full match of our FA Cup sixth round victory over Liverpool from March – a game that saw the emergence of Billy Gilmour in the senior Chelsea side.
The young Scot put in a mesmerising performance in the centre of midfield, with a stunning turn to get away from Liverpool midfielder Fabinho certainly catching the eye and going viral on social media.
Gilmour was everywhere and was awarded the Man of the Match award in our 2-0 victory, before following that up with another fine performance in the Premier League a few days later against Everton. We beat the Toffees 4-0 at Stamford Bridge in our final game before the season was paused following the COVID-19 outbreak, with Gilmour again named Man of the Match.
