The Blues dominated against the Tunisian champions in Philadelphia, deservedly running out 3-0 victors. The numbers from the game only serve to highlight how impressive we were, and here we bring you the noteworthy stats and facts…

Chelsea enjoyed 74 per cent of the possession and we did plenty with it, mustering 16 shots of which seven were on target.

Two of our goalscorers, Liam Delap and Tyrique George, both registered a game-high two shots on target.

We outperformed our Expected Goals (xG) figure of 1.48 with some clinical finishing.

Noni Madueke, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Christopher Nkunku all created three chances, while the two Enzo Fernandez set up turned into assists courtesy of Tosin and Delap’s pinpoint finishes.

Since the start of April, Fernandez has the most goals and assists combined of any Premier League player in all competitions (11 - 4 goals, 7 assists).

Nobody bettered Madueke’s four successful dribbles during his 67 minutes on the pitch.

Tosin was named Player of the Match after an assured showing. Alongside his goal, the defender completed 116 of the 120 passes he attempted. That is the highest figure of a Chelsea player at this tournament so far.

Overall, our passing accuracy was an impressive 92.7 per cent.

In the final third, we played 142 passes of which 79.6 per cent found their target. Nkunku (15), Dewsbury-Hall (14) and Fernandez (14) recorded the most successful number of passes in that area of the pitch.

We matched the physicality of ES Tunis, winning 57 per cent of the duels contested, and restricted our opponents to very little indeed.

They attempted three shots, all of which were from outside the box. None tested Filip Jorgensen in our goal. Tunis’ xG of 0.07 was the lowest figure we have faced since Enzo Maresca took over.
