Chelsea are all set for the start of the Premier League Summer Series after completing another rigorous and challenging training session in the soaring Philadelphia temperatures on Friday.

The Blues take on Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday night, with kick-off scheduled for midnight UK time.

Mauricio Pochettino now has a 30-man squad at his disposal after Reece James hooked up with the lads on Thursday night following his recovery from a temporary illness.

Reece’s compatriot and team-mate Raheem Sterling then accompanied our Argentine head coach at the pre-match press conference. Sterling spoke honestly and openly about challenges he has faced in his first year in Chelsea blue, while Mauricio spoke glowingly about De Zerbi’s tenure at the Seagulls so far and life on the training pitch in Philly.

Next on Friday afternoon, Nike popped by our Philadelphia team hotel to offer the players and staff some complimentary sunglasses, with their technical and innovative range of eyewear on show.

We then had our matchday minus one training session at our Philly base as we prepare to face Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

Running drills, rondos, and tactical practice was the order of play ahead of the match. You can watch the match on Sky Sports in the UK, and NBC in America. All other territories can watch it on the Chelsea app and website.

The Blues have since been resting and recovering ahead of the match with Brighton tonight.

Come on, Chelsea!

Tonight's game is free to view on the official Chelsea app and website, but please note it will not be available to UK or USA viewers due to broadcast restrictions.
