Chelsea’s pre-season tour sees us swap Los Angeles for Las Vegas as match action creeps ever closer.

The 5th Stand app and the official Chelsea website have been granted exclusive access to Chelsea’s pre-season tour of America, and we will be on hand every step of the way to keep you updated at what Thomas Tuchel and his players are getting up to in our daily tour diaries.

As our daily series continues, we pick out the best bits from today…

Heading to Vegas

The day started with breakfast for the squad before it was time to hit the airport for our short flight to Las Vegas, for the next leg of our USA tour.

The Blues departed LAX international at around midday before touching down in Las Vegas – and the searing heat - around an hour later.

It was a short journey from the airport to the team hotel where lunch was ready and waiting, before the players got themselves ready for training at the nearby Allegiant Stadium.

Putting on a show

Today’s training session was open to supporters and a number of Chelsea fans were in attendance to cheer on their heroes.

Christian Pulisic, back in his home country, earned a standing ovation when he stepped out onto the pitch, while it was also the first time Blues supporters saw Raheem Sterling in action in the flesh as a Chelsea player.

Once the session ended, the players went over to the far side of the Allegiant Stadium to applaud the travelling fans and sign autographs.

While there were plenty of Chelsea fans in the stands, there was also a special Blues supporter watching on pitchside.

Basketball legend Kevin Durrant was invited into the stadium to watch the lads train, before catching up with a number of the players for a chat and a photo opportunity.

Glad to have you with us, Kevin!
