The Chelsea Stateside roadshow continues as we swap the west coast for the east for our second week across the Atlantic.

The 5th Stand app and the official Chelsea website have been granted exclusive access to Chelsea’s pre-season tour, and we will be on hand every step of the way to keep you updated at what Thomas Tuchel and his players are getting up to in our daily tour diaries.

As our series from camp continues, we pick out the best bits from the last few days…

Checking out of Vegas

It was a worthwhile workout for the Blues in Nevada as 22 players shared 45 minutes of action between them against Club America in a 2-1 victory at the Allegiant Stadium.

After our second night in Vegas, it was a day of rest and travel on Sunday as we departed for the airport for the four-hour flight across the country to Florida.

Following the arrivals of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly, four players have departed the tour to leave a squad of 24 for the Orlando leg. Tino Anjorin, Billy Gilmour and Harvey Vale have joined the development squad in Salt Lake City, Utah, while Armando Broja has returned to the UK for treatment.

Brazilians boogie

Upon touchdown in Orlando, our Brazilian contingent headed off to watch a music concert by compatriot Ivete Sangalo at the Universal resort.

Known for her lively performances, the samba star entertained the quartet of Thiago Silva, Jorginho, Emerson and Kenedy with a strong set from her stellar 23-year career, with the former pair even getting down with some dance moves of their own.

Afterwards, the players met Ivete backstage and presented her with a Chelsea shirt.

Hot and humid in Orlando

Kalidou Koulibaly joined team training for the first time at Osceola Heritage Park in our opening session of the day in Florida, where the mid-morning conditions were warm and muggy.

Regular water breaks were a necessity and it wasn’t just about drinking fluids as Ben Chilwell cooled off with a splash in the face (pictured top) and Mason Mount took a head-first dive into a chilled bucket.

There was also a meeting between two Chelsea Brazilians past and present as Alexandre Pato dropped by and posed for a photo with Thiago Silva after training.

The 32-year-old was on loan at the Bridge in 2015/16 and now plays for MLS side Orlando City.

Tuchel talks week one

Following the session, Tuchel spoke exclusively in front of the Chelsea TV cameras about the first week of work in America, his two new signings and why he’s decided to trim the group.
