The iconic London landmark Nelson's Column was lit up blue in celebration of our unbeaten Barclays Women's Super League campaign and sixth consecutive title win.
The event was a collaboration between Chelsea and the league, as illuminations projected onto Nelson’s column and were accompanied by Chelsea blue fountains, creating the perfect backdrop to commemorate our record-breaking achievements in the capital city.
The illuminations were in recognition of another remarkable chapter in our illustrious history, in which we became the only club to go invincible in a 22-game WSL campaign in Sonia Bomastor's first season in charge.
A win against Liverpool on the final day of the season at Stamford Bridge was sealed by a stoppage-time strike from Aggie Beever-Jones, as she became our top scorer in the WSL this season with a total of nine goals.
The 21-year-old striker was in attendance at the special event at Trafalgar Square and said: 'I’m from London myself and I've visited Trafalgar Square so many times with my family and friends.
'Seeing this projection feels like the icing on the cake after being so proud of winning the league.'
