Alonso’s squad has grown by one this week, with the addition of Morgan Rogers on Tuesday evening.

Our new signing was at Cobham earlier this week to complete his transfer from Aston Villa, but is now away recovering from his summer exertions along with the rest of the Blues’ World Cup players, and will join up with the squad in training later.

His old friend Cole Palmer was involved, though, and even took a turn behind the camera to grab a few shots of another former Manchester City man Tosin Adarabioyo and Wesley Fofana in a lighter moment at the end of training.

Rogers' fellow summer arrivals Marco Palestra and Geovany Quenda were also both out on the training pitch at Cobham on Wednesday, under the watchful eye of manager Alonso – himself getting ready for his debut campaign with the Blues – as our pre-season preparations continued.
