Xabi Alonso and his squad stepped things up in training on Friday as Chelsea completed preparations to face Hull City in the Premier League.
For the second time in four days, the Blues will be taking to the pitch at Stamford Bridge in front of our home support. We host Hull in a 3pm kick-off on Saturday afternoon.
After the breathless action of Wednesday night's 6-3 victory over Leeds United in the Carabao Cup third round, the focus was on recovery at Cobham on Thursday, but the full squad were out on the training pitch today getting ready for our next game.
That included Romeo Lavia, who Alonso confirmed in today's pre-match press conference is ready to feature against the Tigers. Moises Caicedo, Jordan Henderson and Emmanuel Emegha remain unavailable, although they continue working towards their return to action in training.
Pedro Neto was also out on the pitch after signing his new contract with Chelsea, while Joao Pedro was congratulated by his team-mates when receiving his Premier League August Player of the Month award.
