The Blues were back in the gym and on our training ground pitches, as we look to return to winning ways during this weekend's clash against Brentford.

Our work continued at a wet and windy Cobham ahead of this weekend's west London derby against the Bees. It follows last night's narrow 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in the first leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final tussle.

The Blues showed a much better performance in the second half, as Alejandro Garnacho's brace kept us in contention as we head to the Emirates for the return leg at the start of February. In the meantime, our full focus is on Saturday afternoon's game against Brentford.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference earlier in the day, head coach Liam Rosenior hopes to have Cole Palmer and Reece James available for the clash with the Bees, but doubts remain over Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens who both missed Wednesday's game through illness.

During the recovery session, some of the players who didn't feature from the start against the Gunners were involved, including Reece and Cole, alongside the likes of Tosin Adarabioyo, Moises Caicedo and Jorrel Hato.
