Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have both been nominated for the August EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month award.
The two forwards have started the 2026/27 season in great form, alongside summer signing Morgan Rogers, in Xabi Alonso’s three-pronged attack.
In our opening two Premier League fixtures – against Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion – Joao Pedro and Palmer registered seven goal involvements between them.
Joao Pedro made a flying start to the campaign at Fulham, scoring after just 33 seconds following a neat flick from Palmer. The Brazil international then returned the favour, setting up Palmer to score our winner at Craven Cottage from a tight angle.
The pair were at it again last weekend, as we hosted Brighton in our first Premier League home fixture. Joao Pedro netted our third in the 4-3 victory with a tidy finish before teeing up Cole for his stunning dribble and strike to seal the win.
Voting for the August Premier League Player of the Month award is open now, and you can cast yours for the two nominated Blues here until midday on Monday 7 September. The winner will be announced at 11am on Friday 11 September.
The other players on the eight-man shortlist are: Riccardo Calafiori (Arsenal), Rayan Cherki (Manchester City), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Mamadou Sangare (Brentford), Konstantinos Tzolakis (Hull City) and Yoane Wissa (Newcastle United).
