It was a dramatic night at Cobham as Chelsea Under-19s secured a place in the UEFA Youth League Round of 16 with a 7-6 penalty shootout victory over PSV Eindhoven.

After an impressive and unbeaten group stage, the game at Cobham, which ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, was a test of character for the Blues.

Hosting a determined PSV side, we broke the deadlock in the 36th minute when Ryan Kavuma-McQueen linked superbly with Landon Emenalo to slot home.

However, PSV levelled before the interval through Sami Bouhoudane. It set up a tense second half, which became more challenging when Chelsea forward Chizaram Ezenwata was shown a straight red card following a collision with the PSV goalkeeper.

That left the Blues with ten men for more than 20 minutes. Despite the setback, we showed our grit and determination, pressing hard and defending with commitment until the final whistle.

With the game ending level, the winner would be decided from the penalty spot. We converted seven spot-kicks with composure, while Blues goalkeeper Freddy Bernal produced a decisive save to secure our progression to the Round of 16.

Friday's draw will reveal our next opponents in the competition. But as we reflect on a memorable night at Cobham, take a look at some of our favourite moments from the game!
