Hassan Sulaiman's men stormed to the top of the league with a comfortable win against Brighton as Shumaira Mheuka and a Harry Mills own-goal were enough to give us the victory.

Our young Blues continued their good form with a routine win against Brighton on Saturday morning.

Shumaira Mheuka was in the right place to power home our first of the game and Harry Mills scored an own-goal to give us our second.

The three points mean that we go top of the Under-18s Premier League table with an identical record to Spurs who are in second. However, because we have scored more goals than our London rivals so far, this season we take top spot.

We started in fine fashion, controlling possession, moving the ball well and pushing our opponents back. That early pressure told as Chinonso Chibueze delivered a fine cross which found the head of Mheuka, who buried away in fine fashion.

The lead was doubled midway through the half and it was Chibueze who was again involved, as he jinked his way into the box. When his resulting shot cannoned off the post, it was turned in by a fortuitous ricochet off Mills, who put the ball into the back of his own net.

There were further opportunities for Ollie Harrison and Mheuka, with both going close to adding to the scoreline.

The second half saw our boys take a more measured approach and this resulted in a slower tempo, meaning there were limited chances for either side to score.

With the match coming to a close, there was time for one last eventful action, and it was in favour of Brighton, who were awarded a penalty after Travis Akomeah committed a foul on Remiero Moulton.

Moulton stepped up to take the spot-kick but his poor effort was easily saved by Luke Campbell. That was how the game would end as our young Blues have now made it three wins on the bounce in the league.
