Dinamo Zagreb host our young Blues in the first game of Group F with kick-off scheduled at 12.30pm (UK time) and the match will be live streamed across all our digital platforms....
The Under-19 competition mirrors the men’s UEFA Champions League group stage and our Under-19 team will also play AC Milan and RB Salzburg.
Ed Brand takes charge of our young Blues in this year’s UYL, and he has a strong squad at his disposal as we look to improve on last season’s showing.
Our opponents
Our opponents are a team in form as they have won all their games to start the season. Ed Brand’s side will be under no illusion that the team from Croatia will be looking to cause an upset.
Having not qualified for last year’s tournament, Dinamo will be seeking to leave their mark on the tournament as the last time they did play in the UYL in the 2020/21 season, they made it through to the quarter-finals.
Tournament outlook
The group winner will advance straight to the last-16, while the group runner-up faces a one-leg play-off away at one of the teams to have progressed through the Domestic Champions pathway.
Following this afternoon’s game, we host RB Salzburg at Cobham on Wednseday 14 September 2022 before back-to-back matches against AC Milan with the first game on Wednsday 5 October 2022 and the second on Tuesday 11 October 2022.
We will then travel to Austria to face RB Salzburg on Tuesday 25 October 2022 before the last game of Group F for our young Blues, which will be a home tie against this afternoon’s opponents on Tuesday 2 November 2022.
