Chelsea can confirm that Vera Jones will spend next season on loan at Bristol City.

Jones joined the Blues academy in the summer of 2024 after having played for Barry Town Boys Academy in Wales for most of her youth career.

In February 2025, she earned her first professional contract at the age of 17, signing for Chelsea until 2027.

Jones was named on the bench for the 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Broadfield Stadium in March, but remained an unused substitute.

On the international stage, Jones made her England Under-17 debut in 2023, featured at the European Championships for the same age group in Sweden and was part of the Young Lionesses’ squad who finished fourth at the World Cup in 2024.

The dynamic midfielder now moves to Bristol City, who will compete in the Women's Super League 2 in 2025/26.

Everyone at Chelsea wishes Vera every success at Ashton Gate, and we look forward to seeing her progress next season.
